Industrial Seals
Bearing Man Group offers a wide variety of industrial seals. Most common being the oil seal. Oil seals play a vital role in the industrial seals’ market, as the ability to block contamination and retain oil or grease makes these kinds of seals a common choice of rotating seal. Within these industrial seals BMG can offer a verity of profiles and materials, if you are unsure on what seal is to be used on your application, please speak to a qualified Product Specialist for assistance. The biggest difference between an automotive and an industrial seal is the rotational marks the industrial seals don’t have. You will also find that the industrial seals come in different materials which performs better in harsh chemicals. It is important to note that industrial oil seals are not made to handle pressure, as we stock other solutions for these applications. Within the BMG industrial oil seal portfolio, we can offer cost effective solutions, as well as top of the range brands that include the Garlock® range of products. Garlock® industrial seals are better known as Klosure®. These oil seals are available in a variety of configurations. Klosure® industrial oil seals are available in over 50 different styles which include Split or Solid oil seals. Lip materials include the popular Mill-Right elastomers which make these seals perfect for any industrial sealing solution. Limitations of the popular oil seal includes limited shaft speed, not being able to handle pressure, needs lubrication, temperature restrictions and chemical resistance. Another option from our Garlock range is the PS Seal, this is not only a very reliable industrial seal, but also the go to oil seal to avoid all the above challenges mentioned. The PS oil seal is used in many different applications which includes the replacement of the mechanical seal in some applications. The PS oil seal is made from the trademark material Gylon® lips and Stainless-Steel body. A more robust industrial seal will be the Torric Seal. These oil seals are also known as Duo-Cone seals, Lifetime seals or Face Seals. These oil seals keep oil in the drive motor but keeps contamination out. Special tools are required to install these kind of oil seals.
