Wear strips or guide rings accommodate radial loads of forces acting on the cylinder assembly and guide the rod in the cylinder head as well as the piston in the cylinder bore. Guides are made of polymer materials and, therefore, avoid metal-to-metal contact between moving parts in a working hydraulic cylinder. PTFE strips owing to the low friction of fluorocarbon resin (PTFE), corrosion resistance, thermal stability and other excellent properties, has been widely used in friction, sealing parts, especially in the corrosive medium, and the problem is often difficult to be solved by general metal and other non-metallic materials. The elasticity and toughness of fluorocarbon resin to become excellent sealing material, especially when it is further through a variety of filling modification and some aromatic resin composite plastic alloy, can obtain the higher bearing capacity, thermal mechanical stability, abrasion resistance and the limit PV value.
