Self-tapping screws are screws that can tap its own hole as it is driven into the material. Countersunk design allows a screw to be �sunk� into a piece of lumber. Slot screw head has a single horizontal indentation (the slot) in the fastener head and is driven by a flat-bladed screwdriver. Zinc plated fasteners are the most common used plating. This ensures good rust-resisting qualities, appearance and low cost.
