While the basic and the starting torque VLT Compact Starter MCD 201 version is only used for motor starting, the extended VLT Compact Starter MCD 202 version offers additional motor protection functions. These include, for example, current limitations during motor starting. After the motor is started, the MCD 202 atomically connect the mains supply via the built-in bypass relay. This minimizes losses during operation under full load.
