Bonded washers are metal washers bonded with rubber. Used during roof installations because the rubber helps prevent leaks. The rubber is bonded to the underside of the metal washer. Once installed, rubber seal is compressed onto the roof sheeting thus creating a water-tight seal. Stainless steel is a family of iron-based alloys that contain a minimum of approximately 11% chromium, a composition that prevents the iron from rusting, as well as providing heat-resistant properties.
